Internet & Mobile World 2015 Event in Bucharest

Internet & Mobile World (IMWorld 2015) is one of the biggest business-to-business expo-conferences in Romania, dedicated to digital solutions and mobile software, now on its 4th edition. The event took place on October 7th – October 8th, 2015, and we were there to catch up with the latest trends on Internet and mobile technologies.

The organizers have prepared:

  • 4 content stages: Main Stage, Business Software Stage, Developers Stage, and Digital Marketing & E-commerce Stage;
  • 5 networking areas: Innovation & Gadgets Area, and 4 additional thematic networking points;
  • 4 expo areas: Business Software & Infrastructure, Online Marketing & E-commerce, International Institutions, and Start-ups.

IMWorld 2015 brought together experts from Internet and mobile solution companies – cloud systems, ERP solutions, e-commerce & retail, online payments, and development, who are working to shape the future of the digital environment.

There were more than 135 exhibitors present at the exposition, anxious to talk about their solutions, to make live demonstrations, and to present their gadgets to all technology enthusiasts, at the innovation corner.

The event had an impressive number of local and international speakers with extensive expertise in their field, as Ralph Simon, one of the founders of mobile entertainment and social content industry, Guy Beresiner, from Sociomantic Labs, Robert Berza from eMAG, Gabriel Ghita from MasterCard, Lukas Maixner, founder of Socialbakers, and Paddy Moogan, one of the best UK SEO specialists, and if you ever get the opportunity of listening to them, we recommend that you do!

There were many speeches on the agenda on different topics from the hardware evolution to digital payments, e-commerce, development, and innovation. We chose to attend a few of them: “Transforming Romania into a Regional Tech Hub”, “Mobile and business”, “Connecting the data around the consumer”, and “Transforming local e-commerce challenges into win-win-win opportunities”.

IMWorld 2015 was a very well organised event, down to the last detail (ok, maybe some small logistical issues with a way to crowded lunch area, but there were many attendees, lots of interest and everybody stuck around). Going pass this and pass some topics or approached that did not really bring something new, but rather reiterated last year’s thoughts,  the vibe was great and we had fun testing the new gadgets, driving the electric scooter and watching the dancing robot in action. As always, IMWorld remains a great opportunity to chat with other participants and make new connections, and it is a networking opportunity that you should take advantage of next year!
