Mobifest 2015 – the future of mobile

We joined Mobifest on May 13th, 2015, an annual event dedicated to promoting the mobile environment organized by Evensys in Bucharest.

We were happy to get insights listening to heavy names working in the mobile industry, professionals in the marketing area, communication, online development, and interactive agencies. It was a great one day marathon of speeches, creative case studies, and trainings, building up to the excitement of the last part of the day at the Mobile Gala Awards – the moment when the excellence and innovation in mobile were honoured.

Innovative ideas and latest trends in the mobile industry were presented, and many „secrets” were told on topics that preocupy businesses today: how to use mobile marketing to promote your business, engagement tactics using mobile tools, how to integrate mobile marketing strategies in your marketing communication.

Tips and tricks? There were plenty at Mobifest! If you missed the event, let us share a few:

  • 2015 is the year of the consumer. The success key is to identify your customer’s needs to be able to respond and address their desires
  • Mobile is a vital pillar of your marketing plan.” Stefanos Karagos, Founder Xplain, said. Oh, yes it is! And is in full burst!
  • Nowadays, the customers are getting bored quickly. Maybe you’ll manage to determine them to install your app, but the real question is how long will they use it? They need to be impressed all the time, this is the trick! The goal is to determine the potential customers to want to get your messages and convince them to use your app.
  • You can use mobile marketing to generate new leads. What needs to be done is to segment the audience better. This makes campaign efforts more efficient when messages are tailored to specific subgroups.
  • Not every business needs a mobile app! Don’t create an app just to have one. A mobile site is more than enough, but highly important As you may already know, a mobile site is not optional anymore since Google started to penalize non-mobile websites.
  • Provide to your clients a remarkable user experience and smooth navigation all the time. Hence, avoid supperficial testing, especially when you have specific features.
  • Encourage customers to rate your app and share it to other potential customers. Try to engage them from the first moment they visit your mobile website or your app.

This is just a short summary of the hottest topics Mobifest brought to our attention. We are looking forward to the next edition!
